The year was 1894. The Scotch John Barbour moved to Nexcastle in the north of England. Inspired by the fishermens hard-wearing clothing, made of sailcloth and dipped in oil, John Barbour began to create functional clothes to be used in rainy and windy conditions.

Moods of norway started in Honolulu, Hawaii as an after party idea between the two designers Simen Staalnacke and Peder Børresen. After finishing their studies in Australia and Hawaii, a night of sizzling cocktails resulted in the concept, moods of norway. When returning to the country known for polar bears an expensive gasoline, the duo drew their lines for the coming collections. The brand has it’s headquarters and showroom in the town of Stryn(population 5750), a place known for glaciers, salmon fishing and one newly opened escalator.

Motel Clothing started with a journey. A few years ago, a couple set off on a free-sprited shopping odyssey along the west coast of the USA, their retail targets: thrift stores, where they'd pick up the retro vintage they both loved, to then sell back in the UK. It was a sucession of kitschy motels across the continental US that the eponymous Motel Clothing label was first conceived.
