Washing instructions Let your favorite clothes last longer Follow our invaluable advice and your garments will last you a lot longer, and you won't have to keep your fingers crossed everytime you open your washing machine.
Wash the right way.
Always check the washing label that's attached somewhere in the garment.
Use the right temperature.
You'll find the right temperature in the wash-tub symbol.
Do not mix colours.
Sort the clothes according to color. Never mix white and colored garments.
Easy on the detergent.
Don't be too generous with the wdetergent. Your favorite sweater will not get any cleaner, excess detergent will remain in the sweater.
Prepare your clothes.
Empty all pockets. Close the zipper and unbutton all the buttons. Turn all garments inside out before washing.
Don't stuff the machine.
Fill the machine moderately, not too much, not too little.
Remove stains.
Most stains disappear when washed. Please note that stains should be dissolved, not rubbed away. If you notice a stain try to remove it right away, before it has dried in.
Take it easy with fleece!
Do not under any circumstances use a rinsing/softening agent when washing a fleece garment.
Keep the colours.
Non-bleached garments should not be washed with washing powder containing optical whitening agents / bleach.
Take your garments for a spin.
Most garments tolerate a short spin dry. Garments that hold a lot of water should be spun dry, otherwise they easily get out of shape when drying.
Do not dry wash.
If you need to hand wash a garment you have to make sure the washing powder is completely dissolved. Never sprinkle washing powder directly on the garment.
Pre-wash = overkill.
Only very dirty garments need to be pre-washed.
Be careful with wool.
A garment made of raw wool will shrink if you tumble dry it. Never dry white wool garments in direct sunlight. They can turn yellow.
Washing symbols
Wash in filled machine. Adjust to correct temperature. Normal spin dry.
Gentle cycle. Adjust to correct temperature.
Wash in half-filled machine. Spin dry 1 minute.
Hand wash, do not rub or twist the garment.
Do not wash in water.
Do not use Chlorine bleach.
